Topic 12: Knowledge transfer
In many regions, farmers face challenges in improving productivity and sustainability. De Heus supports them by sharing practical knowledge on feed, animal health, housing, and environmental management. Our specialists work directly with farmers to improve daily practices, reduce losses, and raise performance. This hands-on approach helps farmers care better for their animals, strengthen their businesses, and contribute to more efficient food production. Knowledge transfer is not an add-on, it’s a core part of how we create value together.
Green goal
In 2030 De Heus Animal Nutrition’s farmer training programs will have benefited 250.000 farming participants to build knowledge and capacity on important topics in our farmer training programs such as professional farm management, nutrition, reduction of antibiotics, animal welfare, biosecurity, biodiversity, global gap certification and reduction of carbon footprint in farming activities.

Facilitating knowledge exchange and education.
